Musketeer Monday Part Two: Liz Cartelli

Musketeer Monday Part Two: Liz Cartelli

This week's Musketeer Monday opens with an introduction to Cordello Elementary School Teacher Aide, Mrs. Lisa Cartelli.

Mrs. Cartelli's friendly face and personality make her the perfect fit for her professional responsibilities, where she works predominantly with children and colleagues at Cordello. Her professional duties at a glance include being around young children, assisting teachers and office staff, and making photocopies. "I have some very versatile duties, and I go wherever they need me, but I'm mainly with children," Mrs  Cartelli explained. She began working in Central Islip Schools in 1996, starting in Alfano when the building housed only pre-kindergarteners. Mrs. Cartelli then continued her employment at O'Neill where she worked for one year before being assigned to Cordello. "Most of my career has been here in Cordello," Mrs. Cartelli noted.

Mrs. Cartelli cites the children as being the most rewarding part of her job. "I enjoy watching the excitement in the children, but seeing their growth is what's most rewarding. They keep me young and active," she added. "I love my job and enjoy the children, and people in general."

Spending time with her family is what Mrs. Cartelli says she enjoys most when she's not at work. She loves the beach, walking through towns, taking stay~cations closer to home, and hanging with her three grandsons, ages six, three and one!

Mrs. Cartelli and her husband, Lou, have three daughters. "We had all girls," Mrs. Cartelli said, "and now with my grandsons, life is better with my boys."
