Principal’s Message

Dr. Neema Coker - Morrow Elementary School Principal

Winter Greetings, A.T. Morrow!

“Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.”       -Harriet Tubman

A.T. Morrow Students are: Smart, Responsible, Respectful, Creative, and most of all Kind!

In recognition of the 100th Anniversary of Black History Month (1926-2026), during February students will learn about important inventors and leaders that have made a contribution to our society. Students will also have the opportunity to learn more about black history through the decades leading up to this year. Students will research and share information with the school community. Students will also work on various activities and projects throughout the month. We will host a Black History month school wide celebration on February, 25, 2026 (5:30 p.m.).

PARP 2026: Our theme this year is “Go for the Gold and Read!” We look forward to our students learning and exploring through reading. Students will also have guest readers visit their classrooms throughout the month. We encourage all students to participate and we look forward to our PARP teams earning points and prizes.

This month we will also recognize: P.S. I Love You Day (Mental Health Awareness), American Heart Month and the 100th Day of School.

Star 360 Assessments in literacy and mathematics will continue until February 12, 2026 (Grades K-6). These assessments will be used to modify instruction in the classroom for our students based on the identified areas of need.

Attendance Counts at A.T. Morrow! Please ensure that your child is in school dressed for success and ready to learn each day. New York State monitors student attendance and progress each year for all children. In partnership with all Morrow families, our goal is 100% attendance each day for all students.

It is important that student’s complete assignments on a daily basis. Together with your support, all Morrow students will reach their full potential.
